Holland & Knight Further Expands Tax Practice With Addition of Larry Kemm | News

TAMPA, FL (July 23, 2019) – Tax Partner Larry Kemm has joined Holland & Knight’s Tampa office as a member of the firm’s Taxation Team[1].

The addition of Mr. Kemm follows Holland & Knight’s recent recruitment of several other tax attorneys, including partners Stewart Kasner and Seth Entin in Miami; partner Mark Melton in Dallas; partner Robert Lorndale and of counsel Alan Granwell in Washington, D.C.; and partners Bill Sharp and Andrea Darling de Cortes in Tampa.

“Larry is an extremely accomplished tax lawyer who is held in high regard by Holland & Knight lawyers who have worked with him,” said Bill Sherman, chair of the firm’s Taxation Team. “With Larry’s assistance, we will continue to expand our tax practice both internationally and domestically.”

Mr. Kemm’s practice focuses on domestic and international tax matters. With 35 years of combined practice as a tax lawyer and CPA, Mr. Kemm has vast experience advising clients in structuring transactions and business operations in a tax efficient manner, and in representing clients before the IRS in tax disputes. Most recently, Mr. Kemm practiced as Of Counsel with Carlton Fields. Among his past experience, Mr. Kemm was a partner with two Am Law 100 firms and was a Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte.

“Holland & Knight has a large network of corporate attorneys doing international and domestic deals who need tax support,” said Mr. Kemm. “This is a great opportunity for me to not only partner with former colleagues and friends, but grow my practice in a meaningful way.”

Mr. Kemm earned a J.D. degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a B.S. in accounting from University of Missouri at Kansas City. He is admitted to practice law in Florida, Illinois and Texas.
